This outfit really bought some cheer to cold day – I had lots of people smile when they saw me, and many compliments on my colourful style! That is one of the things I love most about expressing myself through what I wear… Being able to brighten peoples days (both literally and metaphorically!) and make people smile 🙂
I was recently gifted this absolutely gorgeous rainbow top and pants co-ord by Australian label Awkward Child. They are a small label, but they have a loud and bold aesthetic that ensures their pieces don’t go unnoticed! I paired this rainbow goodness with an old favourite Lazy Oaf puffer jacket I’ve had for years (and sadly don’t get the chance to wear often due to the usually warm Aussie weather!). I love how the cloud print and rainbow stripes look together! I also wore a beautiful set of earrings I was gifted by Now or Never Jewellery, a jewellery label based out of Barcelona. I strongly believe in promoting supporting small businesses who sell great products, and Now or Never Jewellery is no exception – designer Cristina Escudero creates such gorgeous pieces of wearable art, definitely worth having a peek at (check them out HERE !)
Another old favourite that makes an appearance in this look is my glittery Marc Jacobs boots I got from Shopbop. I call them my ‘Dorothy boots’ after the ruby slippers worn by Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz… One of my favourite classic films 🙂 For extra shine I also wore a new pair of kaleidoscope glasses I got from Tibbs & Bones – Another colourful Aussie small business that I highly recommend checking out! A vibrant KENZO bag and pair of rainbow argyle printed socks from Happy Socks put the finishing touches on this fun outfit. The end result: Smiles, happiness, and colour wherever I went!! 🙂
